Privacy policy

Last updated: October 16, 2026

The short version. No account. No subscription. Your screenshots never leave your computer. Vitrine makes no network requests, except a one-time licence check when you activate Pro.

Who we are

Vitrine is a Chrome extension made and sold by Mohamed Sbaiti, in Québec, Canada.

What stays on your computer

Your screenshots, the page text saved so you can search them, your notes, collections, settings and licence key are stored only in your own browser, on your own computer. We never receive them. Videos and carousels are made on your computer too, with Chrome’s own video tools. Vitrine has no analytics, no tracking, no ads and no remote code.

Vitrine only touches a web page when you start a capture on it. You can delete any capture, or your whole library, from the Library at any time. Uninstalling Vitrine deletes everything it stored.

The one network request

When you activate Vitrine Pro, your browser sends two things to Gumroad, our payment provider, once: Vitrine's product ID and your licence key. Nothing else is sent, and it goes from your browser straight to Gumroad, never to us. Gumroad's reply includes your purchase details; Vitrine keeps only the key and the date, and throws the rest away. After that, Vitrine never contacts Gumroad again.

When you buy Pro

Gumroad sells Vitrine Pro for us (it is the merchant of record) and handles the payment, your card details and sales tax. Gumroad shares your email address, country and purchase details with us so we can help you and give refunds. We use them for that only. We never sell them, never share them, and never send you marketing email. Gumroad is based in the United States, so this information is processed outside Québec. Gumroad's own privacy policy covers your payment: gumroad.com/privacy.

When you email us

If you write to us, we use your email and message only to answer you. We keep purchase records as long as tax law requires. Support emails are kept for up to two years: once a year, we delete every support email older than two years.

What each permission is for

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you (from Gumroad or your emails), ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the person in charge below. We answer within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to Québec's Commission d'accès à l'information: cai.gouv.qc.ca.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects how your information is used, we'll say so in the extension first.
